Simple principle of operation
Tunnistaja™ sends the identity verification request via SMS. The caller is instructed to authenticate themself through a link in the verification request. The caller's identity reported by the identity provider is forwarded by Tunnistaja™ to the system the agent is using.
OpenAPI (OAS) compatible API
Tunnistaja™ provides a modern RESTful API which is compatible with the OpenAPI specification. The OAS API specification machine readable which makes Tunnistaja™ easy and fast to integrate.
Tunnistaja™ is secure
Tunnistaja™ is regularly security audited by a third party. Tunnistaja™'s SMS Sender ID is registered by Traficom. Tunnistaja™'s infrastructure is GDPR compatible.
Tunnistaja™ for Contact Centres
Tunnistaja™ has many benefits for Contact Centres. The UX is faster and better when the agent is more efficient with the help of automatic caller identification. SCA also enables new contact categories in the voice channel when it is possible to authenticate the caller's identity in a secure manner.

Protected identification request
The identification request is sent securely. We use SMS Sender ID protection. We also require that the identification request is not sent unexpectedly.
Identify callers already in the queue
Tunnistaja™ makes it easy to identify callers in the contact center queue. You can add your own option to the IVR menu for authenticated calls.
User-friendliness
Tunnistaja™ does not require the caller to have a pre-installed application. The caller also does not need to authenticate themselves in the organization's online services in advance. The caller can choose from all the familiar and secure authentication methods they want.
Integration
Tunnistaja™ offers a modern RESTful interface according to the OpenAPI specification. The OAS interface description is machine-readable and enables quick and easy integration.
Web application
Tunnistaja™ also offers a web application that works without integration. However, we usually recommend large organizations integration with the Tunnistaja API.

Tunnistaja™ is audited regularly. Our production and backup environments are located in Finland.
